Bhagwantrao Shivaji Patil Mahavidyalaya, Paratwada was established on 20th June 1969. Founder members of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Society, Amravati felt the need to start a college in Paratwada to cater the need of rural and tribal areas of Paratwada & Melghat. The college provide standard facilities for conducive educational atmosphere to the students. The college has well constructed and spacious building, qualified and experienced teaching staff, well equipped computerized Library and Computer Laboratory, Digital Language Laboratory, Media Center, Smart Class Rooms, WiFi Facility in Campus, CCTV cameras & Cultural Hall. The college has spacious play fields to organize various sports activities in the campus. The college has Student’s Consumer Store, Placement and Career Counseling Cells, Competitive Examination Cell, SC/ST Committee, Grievance redressal Cell and Entrepreneurship Cells. The college is known for its Rose Garden, Vegetable Garden, Vermicompost unit, Rain Water Harvesting and Green practices in the campus.
The college run different Add on certificate courses and has signed MOUs with reputed institutes. The college has established Research Centre in Commerce and motivates students and faculty members for innovation and research. The extension activities of the college renders valuable services to the inhabitants of Melghat. There are well furnished classrooms for Under Graduate and Junior College along with Higher Secondary Vocational. There are facilities to accommodate the students of P.G in English, Yogashastra, Marathi, Home-Economics and Commerce.
The staff members honor merit students and color holders in the Annul Gathering. The list of Merit students at Junior level, Under Graduate level and P.G Level is increasing with each new academic year. Similarly, color holders in Youth Festival & Sports activities are on the rise. Our Alumni Association and other stakeholders play major role in the Development of the College.
